I attempted to install TT on a computer with Intel i3 processor and said it doesn't meet TT requirements. Before update my other computer to Win 10 (from 7) I'd like to know if an Intel i7 processor is sufficient instead of the pentium 4

The tag below your question says you are using TurboTax Online. You don't install TurboTax Online. You access it through your web browser.

I was actually using TT Home & Office. I was freaking out because I procrastinated until the last minute and started the online version just in case.

I got the answer I  needed from the TT help line--they are awesome! appreciated the fast and accurate response...taxes filed on time.

Hope I learned my lesson about procrastination though! LOL

Since you started online do you want to know how to move it to the Desktop program so you don't have to start over?

You can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).

4GB memory is the very minimum for Windows 10 to work correctly.  Any less and it will be a real slowpoke. 8GB is recommended.

And you should have a 4-core CPU, minimum.

256Gb hard drive is also needed since the OS is so much bigger.
