You do not enter repairs or improvements to your own house. They are not deductible. Save your records to use for some of the expenses for someday when you sell the house.
You can't deduct home improvements done to your personal residence, but save your receipts.
Any major improvements are added to the Cost Basis of your home if you later rent it out or sell it.
