Checked the status of my return and it is $4000 less than what was stated by TurboTax. The notice says I miscalculated the EIC. I typed in all the numbers correctly so I don’t understand why the amount changed by so much. Very disappointed in TurboTax for miscalculating now I’m worried my taxes have been filed wrong all these years.

Turbo Tax says I do not qualifty for the eitc. I have less than 57,414 in earned income and less than 10,000 in investment income. Social Security payments are not considered earned income. I am married and filing a joint return. I should qualify for the eitc. Why does Turbo Tax say no?
The income goes with the number of children. For MFJ with no children, the income limit is $27,380. See the IRS chart here.
