I'm finishing up my 2021 tax return and it looks like Turbo Tax is miscalculating the child tax credit for one of my kids. My daughter was born in 1/2016 and she should be getting $3600 credit, half of which I received monthly in 2021 ($300 per month for 6 months). It looks like Turbo Tax is calculating only $3000 tax credit for her. Can Turbo Tax take a look at this?

You are right---if your child was under six at the END of 2021 then the CTC for that child should be $3600. If she was six at the end of 2021 then the CTC is $3000. Double check the date of birth you entered for her in My Info.
Federal>Deductions and Credits>You and Your Family>Child Tax Credit
The IRS is sending out letter 6419 to you. It will show the amount of advance child tax credit that you received during 2021. Enter the information from that letter carefully.
The remaining amount of CTC that you can receive will show up on line 28 of your 2021 Form 1040. Then it will calculate down to the refund you see on line 35a or the tax due on line 37.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
NOTE: The CTC is indeed a “credit” that can be applied toward any tax liability that you would otherwise have to pay as “tax due” to the IRS.
Thanks for the reply. I did triple check her birthdate prior to posting and it is correct. Also, the amount from 6419 is correct. I went and looked into the worksheet and found out that Schedule 8812 pointed out to "Line 5 Worksheet" and confirmed that Turbo Tax did calculate it correctly. The AGI caused the decrease in the Child Tax Credit.
@Frank406 Glad you got it figured out--my next guess was going to be the phase out for income.
