Transfer itsdeductible from another account

My wife and I have been keeping track of all of our deductions using one login but realized that another login for TT is the one where all of the tax information is kept. I've tried the "using a different TT login" option during deductions but it asks me to verify codes and switches the entire tax profile to the one we only use for deductions. Any ideas to resolve the issue?

Note for Online Software Users: 

While the early releases of the software appear to indicate that you can import ItsDeductible data from an account with a different UserID, that option is currently not working and may not be allowed this year. 

Going forward, should you decide to continue to use ItsDeductible, I would encourage you to only record your ItsDeductible donations in an account that has the same UserID as your tax account. 

Unfortunately, this is going to cause you extra manual entry work this year, putting your donations directly into the tax software, unless you want to wait a month or two to see if TTX developers or management decide to fix the foul-up.....no promises that they will.

(Desktop software users do not have this limitation)

I have my donations listed under an ItsDeductible account with a different username than my TurboTax account so I have the same problem.  Is there a way to change the usernames so they match and will connect the accounts?

If you are sure you are going to use that online tax account in the future....You can try the following, but no guarantees.

1) First close your tax file...and close your browser.
2) restart the browser, and log into that "other" ItsDeductible account
3)  Go up to the top of the screen to "Account Settings" and click on that.
4) then "try" to change your UserID so that it matches your tax account UserID.

Problem is that it most likely kick back at you and say that UserID is already taken..and won't allow it.

So you are stuck...entering your 2016 donations manually in the Tax software, and also deciding whether you want to start entering your 2017 donations in the new ItsDeductible account...or whether you just don't trust that TTX is going to keep that online software relevant and just start using a spreadsheet at home to record your donations and always enter them manually at tax time..

Thanks for the reply.  I did try changing my UserID in itsDeductible to that of TurboTax, but, you're right it says that the UserID is already taken.  What a pain.  I think next year I will just enter the donations into TurboTax directly.  I'm sure this will be a common problem for many users.

Only one other thought...is there a way to link my 2 ItsDeductible accounts so that I don't have to reenter my donations directly into TurboTax?

sorry..nope...no way to merge.

Only the desktop software allows the import from any ItsDeductible UserID  (for now, But Vista Windows OS's are having problems on Desktops too)

Seems like it is turning into an abandoned orphan.

This really stinks. I have spent a LOT of time entering donations into itsdeductible under a different account, and now I'm going to have to enter them all over again. Not cool.

IT HAS ALWAYS WORKED IN THE PAST! There should have been some sort of alert about this.  Poor planning and programming on their part.

Yes this sucks. Have used a separate account for years. And now I can’t?  Without a warning?  Is it only in the app?  If I use a desktop and disk will I be able to use a separate account?  Not happy. Wasted hours on the app starting my tax return only to abandon and hope the desktop software will work.

You have all our email addresses. You email us all the time telling us it's time to do our taxes. But you never send an email notifying us of these changes. Instead you let us do all this work, entering these items one by one, all this time, and then at tax season when we go to import it to our spouse's account it doesn't work. This is the worst customer service and portal.
