If you are sure you are going to use that online tax account in the future....You can try the following, but no guarantees.
1) First close your tax file...and close your browser.
2) restart the browser, and log into that "other" ItsDeductible account
3) Go up to the top of the screen to "Account Settings" and click on that.
4) then "try" to change your UserID so that it matches your tax account UserID.
Problem is that it most likely kick back at you and say that UserID is already taken..and won't allow it.
So you are stuck...entering your 2016 donations manually in the Tax software, and also deciding whether you want to start entering your 2017 donations in the new ItsDeductible account...or whether you just don't trust that TTX is going to keep that online software relevant and just start using a spreadsheet at home to record your donations and always enter them manually at tax time..
