I filed for the recovery rebate credit for the 2020 epi payments in a timely manor.i received my 3rd epi payments without filing recovery rebate.as of 2025 I haven't heard a thing about my first two payments.I filed once online and then was told to send it in paper form.Can I still receive these payments that I filed recovery rebate like I was told I needed to do.

It is too late to file a 2020 return to get the 1st and/or 2nd checks.  The deadline was May 17, 2024 to do that.

 

If you filed a 2020 return by mail several years ago, you needed to follow up sooner to see what happened.

If you need to trace a payment that the IRS says has been issued to you, mail or fax a completed IRS Form 3911, Taxpayer Statement Regarding Refund.
