Why am i unable to add my childcare expenses for this year

we both have income but its not allowing to enter childcare expenses

I see that you are posting from Self-Employed software.   One possibility---if your business shows a loss you cannot get the childcare credit.   You have to show positive income from each spouse under each spouse's name in order to get the childcare credit.
