Check your online HSA account for tax forms. There may be a discrepancy between your end of year and the 1099-SA.
Your answer is confusing based on my Question. I contribute to HSA through work. I do not recall getting an form 1099-sa I do not know where to find one. you said "Check your online account for tax forms" sorry for my ignorance on this I do not know what you are referring to when you say online account, Are you talking about from my employer or though Turbo tax? I already look via employer and do not see anything. I don't not recall doing something like this last year. Doesn't mean I didn't I just do not recall doing so.
Did you WITHDRAW from your HSA? If not, you won't have a 1099-SA.
If you did withdraw from your HSA, you need to contact the administrator/company that holds the HSA. If you do not know who that is, you can ask your employer and they should tell you who to contact.
I am sorry. The health savings account is normally administered by another company. It can be mailed or emailed, based on your preference. It could have gone to spam or junk mail.
@AmeliesUncle is correct, you may not have one.
Having contributed to your HSA through work, enter amounts shown in box 12 of your W-2 into box 12 of TurboTax's W-2 form, nowhere else in TurboTax. TurboTax will automatically transfer to Form 8889 line 9 the amount identified with code W. Never make entries into TurboTax from your paystubs.
Forms 1099-SA report distributions not contributions. If you made no distributions from the HSA in 2023, you'll have no Form 1099-SA to enter.
