What does Form 2555-T Line 15C mean? "Did your Visa Limit the length of your stay or employment in a foreign country?

I am living in Japan under 3 year Humanity visa. Is the question asking if there is a limit on the amount of renewals my visa has? Since that is a thing here. Or is is asking about how much time I have on my visa. So in my case, 3 years.

The question is essentially asking if you are on a tourist or other short term visa, which would be considered when determining if you are a bona fide tax resident of the country.  Let's see what the others say.

Thanks for the reply man. So in my case, what should I answer? I am a bona fide tax resident with a 3-year work visa. Should I answer yes or no?

Well until someone answers, I guess I'm going to have to answer yes to this. Since my visa does limit how long I can stay in the country. Which is 3 years.
