Sept child tax credit

Is there a delay this month? I haven’t received my payment yet and it’s the 17th. Anyone else having this issue?

TurboTax has no involvement in the monthly child tax credit payments.   Those payments went out on the 15th.  Watch your mailbox in case your payment was mailed instead of sent by direct deposit.   And...if you have amended your tax return, having an amended return in the system will affect your eligibility for the monthly payments.

  This is a brand new system thrown together by the IRS after Congress changed tax laws in the middle of the tax season.  There are going to be bugs, glitches and mistakes made and folks will unfortunately have to be patient until they sort it out.  

If you do not receive the monthly payments you will be able to get the CTC on your 2021 tax return.

There has not been any news or announcement of a delay of the September 15 payments. Do you get your payment by direct deposit or by a check in the mail? The IRS says that direct deposits should show up in bank accounts "starting" September 15. Some banks take a few days to post a direct deposit. If you get a check in the mail, the IRS says it could take until the end of September for the check to be delivered to you. Hey,

Ive been getting them direct deposit. I understand that some banks take longer. But if the IRS sent it wouldn’t it say processed on the portal or does that only show up once my bank has processed it?
