I'm not sure what tax break you are referring to. Can you clarify what tax break you are referring to and if it is a particular state you are referring to?
It's for Missouri and all it says is it's under chapter 143 when I looked it up
I did not find a deduction or credit in TurboTax for firefighters in MO nor did I find one in the MO Form 1040 Instructions. I found a previous MO law for a tax credit for firefighters completing training, but it appears to have expired around 2018. I then saw a bill introduced in 2021 to provide for a tax deduction for firefighters completing training however, I did not find that the bill became law.
