TT is not allowing a home mortgage interest deduction. I see there was a prior question on this in the community which is labelled "solved" 23 hours ago. I still can't get it to show on Schedule A even though it should be allowable. Please advise.

There are a number of reasons you might not be seeing mortgage interest on Schedule A after entering it. You can revisit your entries to confirm, for example, that you identified the loan as being secured by your home, the dollar amount of interest entered was corrected, and that the loan principal was entered and didn't exceed applicable limits. In addition, you may not have had enough total itemized deductions to exceed the standard deduction.
You can preview your return before filing to find out how your taxes were calculated and review the schedules. See here for details.
Please see this article and this one for more information on home mortgages from TurboTax.
No. This answer does not help. The mortgage interest shows on the worksheet but does not carry forward to Schedule A. The mortgage or interest are not above the allowable limits for a deduction. I am not able to force the number on Schedule A. I've deleted and reentered several times and have deleted and rebooted the program. I've also taken this deduction for 30 years so I am confident that I am entering correctly. And with this interest, the itemized deduction will be higher than the standard. Even if it weren't, shouldn't it show the amount on Schedule A as other items are?
Thank you.
This might be difficult to troubleshoot remotely....you might have to call customer support and have them walk thru it with you.
Other: Make sure you answered Yes to the Q about whether the loan was secured by a residence/property of yours.
also...line 8a on the Schedule A is where it is supposed to show up...(Just checking)
