The direct download from Edward Jones is not working. Tells me the files are incomplete. I've contacted EJ. and they tell me all is complete on their side and is a TT problem. This is an extreme issue! are others having this problem? Or does the deluxe version not accommodate this.

Yes, you will need to upgrade to Turbo Tax Premier to handle your investment income.
After updating to Premier 2020, I still am unable to download 1099-B from Edward Jones. Continues to tell me there is an issue with some of the documents. Reading posts from others that are also fighting with the TT software, I don't appreciate that I would manually have to enter 21 pages of 1099-B documents. That isn't why I purchased TT. Please advise if this is the only option I have.
If import does not go smooth, I will suggest to manually enter info, unfortunately. For import, there are a limit on how many transactions TurboTax can handle. See blue links below. If there are too many transactions, you can try to sum up between long term and short term. Here are the steps:

A Form 1099-B is issued to report the proceeds from your stocks and bonds transactions. The transactions will generate either a long term or short term capital gain or loss depends on how long the stocks are being held. The amount will be reported on line 7 of your Form 1040 along with a Schedule D and Form 8949.
I also am unable to import Edward Jones 1099 but I have home and Business, had no problem last year importing. I prefer not to have to switch to
premier.
