My AGI is $105,000 and my total Additional child tax credit for my 2 kids(5&8) is 3,300 according to TT. I think I should receive 6,600 is that not right?
A1. For tax year 2021, the Child Tax Credit is increased from $2,000 per qualifying child to:
Note: The $500 nonrefundable Credit for Other Dependents amount has not changed. For more information about the Credit for Other Dependents, see IRS Publication 972, Child Tax Credit and Credit for Other Dependents PDF.
A4. The Child Tax Credit begins to be reduced to $2,000 per child if your modified AGI in 2021 exceeds:

Did you receive the advance monthly payments that were issued between July and December in 2021? If so you already received half of that $6600, and you can get up to another $3300 as a refund on your 2021 tax return. You will receive a letter 6419 from the IRS that shows how much you received already. Enter that information very carefully. The amount you can still receive as part of your 2021 tax refund will show up on line 28 of your Form 1040.
If you review the form 8812 you will see the full credit being calculated and then the amount you got in advance is deducted and you get the balance allowed.
