I have an automotive business that primarily does automotive computer programming, I have to purchase a file for each one I do, so my question is are those COGS or expenses?

You could list it as either. It will have the same end result and it is technically both.

If my son received a grant to pay for the tuition of his dual enrollment course, why is TurboTax showing a tax/education credit for it? I, myself, did not pay for any of the educational expenses. Am I entering something wrong?.
