Can I import ItsDeductible item donations to TurboTax Premier Online (web app)? If so, how?

It's deductible is part of my TurboTax account. ItsDeductible is very limited with item donations, almost half are not available in the embedded version of ItsDeductible in the Deductions & Credits section of TurboTax and there's no way to add items that are not found. I can add items not found in the online ItsDeductible app but I don't find an option to import from my ItsDeductible account into TurboTax online Premier. Is it possible?

If you have TurboTax Deluxe or higher, importing your ItsDeductible donations is easy. Here’s how:

1. Open or continue your return in TurboTax.
2. Search for donations and select the Jump to link.
3. Answer Yes to Did you make any donations to charity? 
4. On the next screen, answer Yes toDo you have an account with ItsDeductible Online?
5. Your donations will automatically load as long as you're using the same account for both ItsDeductible and TurboTax. On the next screen, select which donations you want to import and select Import Now.
6. Select Continue and review your charities on the next screen.

If you make changes to Its Deductible and want to import again, start again at step 2 above.

I went back and looked and your instructions worked, yes. I don't know the version hierarchy of where Premier sits with respect to Deluxe, etc. Thanks so much. Also, I noticed that the "Jump" link doesn't always show up in search, it seems to have a mind of its own, and sometimes it's there, sometimes not.

Thanks. I haven't found anything deterministic to help diagnose when a "Jump" link shows up for common search terms or not. I've also seen that it may just be scrolled out of view when the results are shown; scrolling to the top will reveal it, but again, only on occasion. It's inconsistent.

I used ItsDeductibleOnline to input my donations data, but I am unable to import the data to my TurboTax return. I either can't find the Jump link, or I can't re-navigate back to the original donation selection page. I started to re-input the data, but it started asking me questions such as original purchase prices and purchase dates. Can you help?

In addition, the cost of this software is $119, yet it's advertised online for something like #59. Why the disparity?

If you are unable to locate the search bar in the top right corner, try locating this by using the toolbar and going to Tax Tools > Tools > Topic List.

When is this feature available in 2024 ( for 2023 tax year?)  I am not given the option to import from ItsDeductible on either the phone app or online. I’m not able to find any current answers on any of the help or online chat sites.

Follow these steps to export and save your ItsDeductible data.

1. Sign in to your ItsDeductible account.
2. Select the tax year you want to save.
3. Select View Summaries.
4. Select PDF next to the data you want to save.
5. Repeat steps 2–4 for all other tax years you’d like to save.

We recommend keeping all tax return data for the last three years for your tax records.

I’ve used ItsDeductible for years, this year, in Turbotax Premier Online, after I click “Yes” on “Do you have an ItsDeductible account” nothing is shown to import. Clicking “Next” just tells me nothing was selected for import. I can see all my donations… I tried calling Customer Service twice, no resolution (first time agent told me she was a tax advisor, and that I needed to contact someone from ItsDeductible to fix the account link. Today, the agent did not get my issue at all and call kept ending)

Help please! I have way to many items to re-enter manually

Is this the process you are using?

Scroll down when you get to the “My tax breaks” table. There is a “More tax breaks” button below the table. Once you press the more breaks button search for charitable donations and there you will see the start button and from there the import question comes up.

I had the same challenge- I finally found it after lots of searching! Left side menu > select Tax Tools > choose "Tools" > pop up screen "Tools Center", select "Topic List" > Your Deductions & Credits > "Tax Breaks" scroll down screen to "Import ItsDeductible Online". I hope this helps 🙂

This was the approach which finally worked for me! This let me successfully import my data from ItsDeductible online to TurboTax online (for 2024 tax year). Thank you!
