It is required that you have healthcare for each month. I had marketplace insurance from January until August. I got company insurance when I was hired on in July.
I was not asked whether I was covered for insurance, or anything about 1095A. I had to go back through and add my 1095A since the app didn't ask about it.
Since I didn't have marketplace from September onward, it said I'll get charged for that.
There is no way to add my 1095C to prove that no, in fact I did have insurance from September onward, just not through marketplace.
What am I supposed to do

there isn't a need to prove insurance this year as there is no penalty for not having it; that is different than 2018.
but if you had marketplace coverage, there is a need to 'settle up' on the premium credit to determine whether any of it is owed back to the federal government. what is the specific statement saying you will be charged for not having coverage from August forward?
I assume you are trying to complete 2019 taxes and not 2018, right?
Did you inform the Marketplace that you had another insurance and to cancel? If there is a change in circumstances, you are required to let the Marketplace know. The IRS will get a copy of your 1095-C.
ColeenD3: I informed marketplace of the change, so my August cost was prorated. If the IRS already got my 1095-C, that would be very nice.
NCPerson: Yes, I'm doing 2019. I was told that the remaining subsidized amount would be deducted from my return, which doesn't make sense because I never saw any of that money in the first place for them to remove.
Basically it seems like:
Government: Hey, we promise to give you X amount of money per month for the rest of the year.
Me (midway through year): I don't need the money, so you can keep it.
Government: OK. Well, I'll keep it then. And how about I take X amount FROM you as well?
Me: But you didn't even give it to me in the first place!

Yes, if you received a 1095-C then the IRS would have the same information. As the others have said, because there is no penalty, an entry is not needed!
i see your point.... but....
the government gave you that premium money based on the estimate of your income that you presented before the year began. If your income ended up exceeded that estimate (and I don't know the formula), they are going to claw the money back.
the benefit you received was a lower calculated premium that was based on the income you told them you expected to earn vs. what you ended up earning ; they are clawing back that benefit.

@MaryK4 - the entry is REQUIRED; there is just no requirement to have the insurance.....

I'm getting charged a penalty and I paid for both 1095a and1095c through my employer. how do I get out of this penalty?
Then I should'nt have to put my 1095a down if they are waiving it this year?
