TurboTax for Windows is using the wrong contribution limit for HSAs for 2021. The contribution limit for a family HSA is $7200 not $7100. The program wrongly reports a $100 excess contribution amount when $7200 is provided as the total of contributions and gives the option to have that amount taxed at 6% or to withdraw the $100.

The software has not yet been updated for the 2021 contribution limit. TurboTax must wait for the IRS to finalize the forms and instructions before the software can be updated.
I think Turbotax should be able to correct this because the 2021 HSA contribution limits for family and individuals were established before 2021 and are well-known.
