Me and my tax expert did that & i was still denied; and that was roughly 20 mins ago when we tried that method.
There was an update with available information on Error Code F8962-070 today. The IRS is rejecting returns with this code because they believe you or someone on your return had insurance through the marketplace. Since you did have insurance through the marketplace in 2019, you may still just be on their list.
You can try to enter $1 for the 1095. This will not affect anything on your return, but having the form there may get the IRS to accept your return. To do this take the following steps:
Let me know if this works.
Did this work for you?
What did you do differently?
Yes the method above cleared my return and did not get rejected finally. Although you do you have to pay turbotax fee's to put even a false 1095a....
You had to pay the fee to get a tax break type thing?
Please try the steps that @DaveF1006 posted above and if you continue to experience issues, use this link here to contact Customer Support for further assistance.
@magnusautumn
I was using the free edition. Like I do every year, but when I put in the example @DaveF1006 suggested.
The Advance premium credit page forced me to switch to the Deluxe.
Supposedly you cannot submit the 1095A without paying for Turbo's deluxe tax edition (Quite suspicious if I do say so myself....).
I'm just thankful it finally went through.
so you re-enter everything and it went through or did you try something different?
I was able to fix everything and it still let me use the free edition. Both my federal and my state were approved.
It is making pay when I did your method. I see the problem when I go to fix the 1095a I always put no I didn't receive the form because I have the 1095B one. I'm so sick of this back and forth please someone help.
@nancyejit It depends. To clarify, did you originally indicate you received a 1095-A thinking that your 1095-B was the same form? If so, you may need to delete forms 1095-A/8962 from your list of forms. Go to tools>tax tools>delete a form>delete 1095A and/or 8962 if the forms are listed.
If this is an IRS reject, please view an earlier post I made in this thread to move past the error message.
Hey Guys
This happen to me guys like 7 times literally got denied all those times! Until I tried the guy Dave answered and instantly approved.
@DaveF1006 okay I know I don't have the 1095A/8962 so I put the option "I did not receive it" because I do have the 1095B. It gets rejected every time and I go back and try to correct it and it goes back automatically to the "yes I received the 1095A" option when I try to fix it. I just tried your suggestion to delete the form from the Tools settings. If that doesn't work I'll go back to the first method and If I have to pay I honestly don't care at this point I just want it done.
Thanks!!
I did Dave option and it didn’t make me pay
