Property Tax

I have Turbo Tax Deluxe 2024.  I own my home with no mortgage or loan.  I'm unable to enter my property tax data into the system. When I hit the enter data block - it takes me right back to the Deductions page.  Must be a software glitch. Anyone else having this problem.

Define your system/platform

1)  Online web-browser software?  Free, Deluxe Premium?

or

2)  Desktop Software?  MAC or Windows?  Basic, Deluxe, Premier, or Home and Business?

I just did it OK with Windows 11,  Desktop Premier.

______________

If you are on Windows Desktop software, make sure you've run the software updates....and if it still doesn't work..then start TTX by rt-clicking on the TTX icon, and selecting "Run as Administrator"

We are currently looking into this issue.

You can switch to form mode and enter the property tax directly on Schedule A. Please make sure you do not select to overwrite anything in form mode.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Open your return in TurboTax desktop
  2. Click on “Forms” icon on the top right to switch to form mode
  3. Select “Schedule A’ on he left
  4. Enter the amount under “Taxes You Paid

Please see Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software for additional information.
