I couldn’t get an answer to this question yet.
I click on the blue number next to Other Income Taxes. I see:
I recognize the last two, but not the first. I don’t know where that number comes from.
I don’t have any local taxes. I didn’t have the 2020 state balance due amount that was paid in 2021. I made estimated payments in 2021, but I already entered them elsewhere. They can’t be counted double.
Please help.

A 2020 4th qtr State estimated tax payment made in January of 2021 might be that number
BUT
If you are using the Desktop software.?
You can switch to Forms Mode.
....look in the left window for the Federal Tax Payments worksheet and open that.
Check all the lines in the state column there, and see if anything shows that would account for the extra $$.....especially down in lines 21-to-24
It depends. If you have state and/or local taxes on your W-2, then they would be included in 'Other Income Taxes'. They can be used for itemized deductions on your federal return and would be carried there even if you were not able to itemize.
Please update here if you have more questions and our tax experts will help you.
I don't have w2 forms. All I have for income is 1099 and 1099-r.
They don't list anything except for federal and state taxes. I reported that, and they come up correctly as:
Federal withholding
State withholding
under Other Income Taxes.
but I don't know what "Taxes paid with state or local tax return" is.

How do I get in contact with Diane on this page?
This might do it..
But you hit the "@ "sign somewhere in your comment ...and select her name from the choices when it pops up....that sends her a notification. The pop-up will list everyone in this particular question, and anyone who commented....but responds only to the one(s) you actually select
...like this...
