I saw a popup yesterday that asked if I wanted to itemize charitable deductions on state even though I didn't fill out Schedule A on federal. Now I can't find it.

I had a similar question last week, "If the standard deduction is all I qualify for, should I bother to list charitable gifts on my federal form? Might I still get a Delaware state charitable deduction by listing gifts on the federal form?

The answer I got was "Yes, declare the deduction on federal, and it will carry over to state, where it might actually be worth something.
