A 1040 is the tax return form you prepare here to send to the IRS. If you start entering data in this software you are preparing a Form 1040. Please look at it so you will know what you are sending to the IRS:

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
As you go through the software program and enter your information in the right places by answering the questions on the screens, the forms you need will populate. Go slowly and carefully through ALL of the income screens in Federal>Wages & Income. You do not have to "find" the forms and schedules; the software will do that for you.
You have until October 16 to use online TurboTax and e-file; after that the online system will shut down and you will not be able to use it. You will need the CD/download on a full PC or Mac, and your return will have to be mailed.
