How do we correct error message "error message - you entered a date of sale that was before the date you bought the home. sold home on 10/31/23 bought new home 12/28/23"?

The purchase date the program is asking for is for the first home.  Enter the date that you purchased the home that you sold on 10/31/23.

Where are you entering dates?  If you are entering the sale then it wants to know when you bought the house you sold.  Not the new house.  You shouldn't be entering anything about buying a new house.  Except for mortgage interest and property taxes paid.  It doesn't matter what you did with the money from the sale like buy a new house.
