Ingot my EV charger installed in 2023 but forgot to claim in 2023 returns, can I claim it in 2024 returns?

Since the charger was purchased and installed in 2023 you will have to amend your 2023 tax return to get the credit.

No. You cannot fix a 2023 mistake on a 2024 return. You can, however, amend your 2023 return to enter it.

Wait until your original return has been fully processed before you amend, and make sure you have saved a pdf of the original return before you amend. (If you do not save it as a pdf, the amended return will overwrite the original, and the original will be lost forever)
