Homeowners Insurance for a personal residence, not used as a rental or in a business, is not deductible on a tax return.
Auto insurance for a personal vehicle, not used in a business, is not deductible on a tax return.
I do not think that is fair. We are retired and we have to have home and auto insurance. If only business people can claim this, it just doesn't seem right.😪
