Sorry, no.  A Casualty or Theft loss on personal property is not deductible on a federal tax return if the loss did not occur in a federally declared disaster area.

Your personal use vehicle--not used for self-employment?   Sorry, no.   Casualty and theft losses are not deductible on a federal return since the tax laws changed for 2018 and beyond.
