If you are self-employed, you will need to tell TurboTax that you are a sole-proprietor or have a small business and then walk through the steps to enter your income and expenses using either TurboTax Premier Online or TurboTax Home and Business Desktop.
Some other things that would be deductible as a self-employed individual would be your prorated utilities, your professional licensing fee and any CE Courses you must take to keep your license.
Clothing that you can wear on the street and makeup is not deductible. Neither are your groceries. Commuting expenses are also not deductible. Traveling back and forth to one location would be considered commuting. If you would be traveling to clients homes, those expenses would be deductible.
