Are babies born in 2021 eligible for the Child Tax Credit?

We recieved the amount for the stimulus on our taxes, but nothing for the Child Tax Credit. When I called the IRS the man sad he would have to transfer me and then transferred me to a number that said they were no longer taking calls for that issue and it hung up on me.

Yes.  Even if they are born on Dec 31.  Which box is checked at the top for them?  If the Child Tax Credit box isn't checked you answered something wrong.  When was your baby born?  You needed to check he lived with you the WHOLE YEAR, not just the number of months.   If you didn't get the Child Tax Credit you can amend your return.

Yes, but you must have a valid SSN for the child and you must file an "on-time" return.  On time means before April 18, or before October 15 but only if you got the automatic extension before April 18.
