1098-t claim

My son (19) is a full time college student and works to pay for some of his education.  He made over $5,050 last year.  We were advised that he needed to be claimed as our dependent to qualify to be on our marketplace insurance.  Now, we are unable to claim his 1098-t expenses on our taxes because he made too much money to be a dependent, and he cannot claim his 1098-t because someone else is claiming him as a dependent.  Help, please.

1098-t claim

You answered something incorrectly in MY INFO.   If he is a qualifying child dependent he can earn more than $5050.   Click his name in MY INFO and go through those screens again.  Watch for the screen that says "Less Common Situations" and make sure you clicked that he was a full-time student.
