Will TurboTax help us if we received a CA FTB notice they propose to assess add'l tax/penalties on our 2021 State return because Schedule CA had an incorrect amount?

We received a notice that my husband and I now owe $6,499 in penalties because one of our income amounts was imported incorrectly from our Federal Adjusted gross income and what was reported on the state income line. Not sure how that happened, but apparently we missed this amount when we filed the return. Has anyone else had this happen?

What kind of income?   Did you import the W2 or 1099 form?   You needed to double check everything before you file, especially if you imported any items.   Yes it can import wrong.  

They only guarantee the calculations are right based on your entries.
