Last year I filed a State of SC tax form showing entries but a balance due of zero to the State from Turbotax. This year I can see the entries and display the SC1040 State tax form with entries and balance due of zero, but cannot print the form. Turbotax says:
"Your South Carolina Return contains non-final forms, which are currently not available. However, you can still save or print Federal and State Returns containing final forms."
So when will SC tax forms be printable/finalized in Turbotax and updated? I need to print the form
for an county agency in SC. Thanks.

Please review the following state forms availability FAQ.
Your answer does not adequately respond to the question as the FAQ does not directly address South Carolina. Please tell me when SC forms for a simple set of tax returns will be available. In the interim can you efile or do you have to wait until all forms are available?
The link that EbonyA provided says SC forms ready 2/10/22. So I think the question has been answered. But I'm not sure what "available" really means under E-File. Presumably, once 2/10/22 arrives, you'll be able to file both print and online.
Thank you as that was not apparent to me.

In the past it was possible to print forms locally that were not ready for filing, the words "DO NOT FILE" or "NOT OFFICIAL" or something similar would appear superimposed on other forms, which would allow you to print it for a rough draft purpose. Now you can view the information appearing on an unofficial form, but you can no longer print at least a rough draft - or in any shape or form print it out. It simply does not appear as available to even print. Frustrating.
i paid and filed my state of sc tax forms, Did it go thru , i can not print the forms,or see the final return. tom
Since this is a public forum we are unable to view your return, but assistance with checking your e-file status has been provided by clicking here.
I've been experiencing the same issue. I submitted my Federal return and waited for the state forms to be "ready".
The fix I found today was to delete your state entry (i.e. go to the State tab of your return. On the "Status of your state returns" page, delete the South Carolina entry by clicking the trash can icon.). Then add the state return back again for SC. All the info from the federal tax return will auto populate. It will allow you to pay for the SC state return and submit the return successfully. Hope that helps!!!
So when will SC tax forms be printable/finalized in Turbotax and updated?
The South Carolina Forms will be available on February 9, 2023.
Use the link below to look up when your individual tax forms will be available in TurboTax. You can search by TurboTax product and for IRS or state-specific forms.
If the e-file date says unsupported, the form must be printed and you'll need to mail your return
You can skip your state return and file later. Your federal return will need to be accepted before you can e-file your state. Or you can just paper file your state return later. Follow the steps outlined in the link below:
When will state of South Carolina finalized forms be available?
Several Forms are still being updated. Use this Forms Availability link to track the progress your your particular forms.
I tried to print my SC forms out today, and there is still a message that says some of the forms are still being updated. When will this be fixed?
