I work for a hospital in NYC. I contribute to parking, FSA, and medical/dental pre-tax. The codes I put in for my W-2 Box 14 are exactly those shown on my physical W-2 (picture attached). This year for the first time TurboTax is telling me I cannot have "Other" in the identification field for these items. It is INCORRECTLY claiming I am a NY public employee and telling me I have to enter either "NY IRC 414H subject to NY tax" or "NY IRC 414H NY tax exempt" or else I will not be able to e-file. I am NOT a NY employee and these are NOT retirement contributions. My understanding is that I should be choosing "NY IRC 125/Sec 18 Subject to NY Tax" but if I choose that it gets flagged as an error the same as if I had chosen "Other". This seems to be a bug. I have worked at the same hospital in NYC for over 10 years and always e-filed with TurboTax. Never before have I encountered this issue. Please help.

Put a space in between the pre and the tax Pre Tax instead of pretax.

Wow, that fixed it. I am now able to enter "Other" as the identification code without getting an error. Never would have thought that was the issue. Thanks!
