When I press the "Transmit Returns Now" button I get a message that says "We need to make one more check". When I press continue it tells me "check this entry" and shows form N-11 line 21c in red. This is the number that has been brought over from my federal tax sheets and is the amount of interest I paid on my home loan. The number is in red and I am not allowed to change it. When I press continue it sends me back to the "Transmit Returns Now" page. How do I get out of this loop and file my return?

I have tried it again, but the same problem persists. Still can’t file my state taxes. Is someone actually working on this or are you just stringing me along?

Why is Form N-11 preventing me from filing my Hawaii state return?
For what it's worth I'm running into the same problem.
Same. Can’t edit 21c on N-11. Charged for filing but it won’t let me transmit my return
@billfiddle
There is a know issue with form N-11. Our teams have been working with Hawaii to get that resolved. However, the form was just recently finalized by the state so please allow a few days for TurboTax to update our system to include the final version of the form. One option is to submit your Federal and wait on the state for a few days or, since it is early in the filing season, just hold off a few days until updates are made and you can e=file both returns.
I am trying to transmit my Hawaii State Tax return but it keeps telling me to check one entry but the interest expense for my mortgage is correct and the expense was from the Form 1098 from my lender. Please advise how to correct this.

HI Interest Expense calculation
If the federal forms are all finalized and it is ready to e-file, you can choose to file just the federal return at this time, then come back when your state forms are ready and e-file that return.
Note, if you don't e-file them together, you do have to wait until the federal is accepted before you can e-file the state. Sometimes this takes a day or even two.
Here is a TurboTax Help article with directions for when you return to file your state return.
File State after the Federal is Filed
Do we have an idea of when this will be resolved? I first got this error message on January 26th. You’ve been “working on a solution” for 2 weeks now.
