I was 19 years old living with my parents when the first round stimulus checks were issued, claimed as a dependent the year prior. I therefore received neither the first or second Stimulus check, and so claimed the Credit on my taxes. I am living as an Independent now in ID. Are refund checks being delayed because of this? Its been 3 weeks since I filed, and my father filed after I did and already got his refund.

Did you efile? Was it Accepted?
Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?
You can check your efile status here
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
Yes, yes and yes, and i received an email saying it was accepted. I tried the IRS2Go app on my phone and it shows that my return was received. It doesn't have an Accepted status, only Approved and Sent.
Turbo Tax tells you that it was Accepted. Accepted only means the IRS accepted it for processing. Then the IRS Approves it, which it sounds like they have. So you should be getting it soon. Did you enter your bank account for Direct Deposit or are you getting a check? Were you having any fees deducted from your refund?
How to see the refund method you chose
Definitely went for the direct deposit, no fees that I can recall. There's nothing really else to do but wait. Thanks for your help.
