State tax withholding

I noticed in my paychecks that state taxes aren’t being taken out. However, when I filled out the state form, I claimed a dependent. I’m not sure if that’s what’s affecting me from getting withheld. I’m confused.

Ask your employer. Your income might be too low to have any state withholding taken out.
