This is crazy. My sister just did her taxes with ah&R 2 days ago and was already accepted and approved. Mine was filed 2/4/21, accepted 2/11/21, & was just approved like 2 days ago. It’s never been this long EVER. I know people who went through TurboTax and got theirs back. What’s the problem?
TurboTax has a class action lawsuit against them for their billing practices. Supposedly millions of returns that should’ve been free - those people were duped into paying for their services. And its always the poorest Americans who suffer most in those situations.

Once the IRS has the tax return TurboTax has nothing more to do with it.
TurboTax only gives the general IRS (most returns are processed within 21 days) date. The actual date is known only by the IRS. TurboTax also does not adjust the general date for anything on the tax return. TurboTax receives no feedback from the IRS after filing.
The IRS says most refunds will be issued within 21 days - some faster, some longer.
Each tax return is evaluated on it's own merits. There is no first-in-first-out. Two similar tax return submitted at the same time can have totally different processing times based on IRS criteria for examining tax returns that the IRS does not divulge.
Some returns will be held for ID verification or other verification. The IRS will send a letter if they require more information to process your tax return.

And another thing. Each year the Turbotax CD software keeps dropping Mac operating systems that the CD will support. In other words, last year I was forced to upgrade to High Sierra. For the 2020 tax year, Turbotax dropped High Sierra off their supported operating systems and I was forced to upgrade my computer to Catalina. On the other hand, H&R Block software CD continues to support older Apple Mac operating systems. This is yet another reason I may just start buying H&R Block CD software in the future.

TurboTax complies the Mac software with the Apple supplied developers toolkit and *Apple* only supports OSX 10.14 and later. Next year Apple will drop 10.14.
Because TurboTax has decided to only have (and maintain updates) for the 3 active Mac products, they will not supply separate products using out of date developer software for older Mac's. Not economically viable.
(I have the same problem - I run 10.14 and do not want to update to 10.15 since that breaks apps that I use, but I understand the reasons.)
I filed mine on 2/27/21 and it is still saying pending also. I called and spoke to a turbo tax representative, who then gave me the number to the IRS with an extension number and the system doesn't even give an option to input an extension number. I still don't have any more clarification than I did before. I think that TurboTax should be able to provide some kind of information since it was their software that was used to file my taxes. At least rather it was rejected or whatever the case may be. I do know one thing I won't be using Turbo Tax in the future and I will be telling everyone I know not to use it either because there is no follow-up or clarification to the customer's concerns or issues!

That is very common. MANY returns filed 2/27 will be pending.
The IRS will send a letter if they require more information to process your tax return.

mslatinlady: I suspect the dropping of support for older versions of Mac and Microsoft operating systems has a great deal more to do with forcing people to purchase the latest versions than it does with technical capabilities of the actual version of operating systems. There is a great deal of 'cooperation' between OS companies and software companies.
I am already aware of all the information that you included in your reply thanks. However, as I said before my concern was that it still says pending on the turbo tax site in addition to the IRS website not having any information at all. It's really simple it has never taken this long before to say rather it was accepted or rejected which is the only clarification that I was seeking.

If you have not received a "accept" or "reject" email and the TurboTax status is not accept or reject after 48 hours the contact customer support.

Hopefully, you've received an "accepted" or "rejected" in the past 24 hours, seems like more New Mexico returns are going through.
Thank you for your patience!
Mine was “accepted” on February 14 according to Turbo Tax and still doesn’t even show upon IRS2GO app or website. Tried every day since. Nothing still. Called last weekend and the person at TT said “mine shows up so I’m not sure. Call the IRS.” Yeah glad HIS shows up. SMH seems like an issue with TT not IRS.

If it was accepted then the IRS has it and TurboTax is out of the picture.. Only the IRS can answer your question.
