My TT Home & Business 2023 Desktop version includes one NY State return.
when go to 'Print Center' to preview and save as PDF the Federal and NY returns I am working on, the Federal returns are all there, but instead of the NY State return there is a message that says 'your NY returns are currently unavailable to view, print or download because some of the forms haven't been finalized yet'. At the end of this message there is a link 'Notify me when my forms are ready'. Clicking this takes me to a separate 'Sign up for email notification' page. But, when I complete this page and submit, I get the error message 'unable to load message; no forms have been specified' and can go no further.
I have not seen posts from anyone this year regarding this problem.
Am I the only one who has it, because there something wrong with my TT desktop?
If the problem is just that TT's NY State return is still not finalized, when will it be finalized.
I am ready to file but am being prevented from filing by this bug.
Thank you for your help.

This has worked for people in South Carolina. See if this works for you. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/state-taxes/discussion/successfully-printed-south-carolina-2023-in...
Thanks very much for this, CatinaT1.
I will see if it works and let you know the result.

i tried the SC return fix you suggested, Catina T1, but could not get it to work.
That fix involved opening the State estimated tax worksheet and zeroing out quarterly amounts shown there to 'defeat' TT's calculation of 2024 estimated taxes.
NY's worksheet seems set up differently from SC's, so I couldn't just follow the SC procedure described; moreover, the only quarterly amounts TT let me change were the voucher amounts at the very bottom of the form.
While all of these I was able to zero, it had no no effect.
Are there any other amounts TT will let me zero that I should zero?
Or, should i just delete the entire form? I hesitate to do this, if it will bollocks up the rest of my return.
Wondering whether the not-yet-final NY form causing this problem is not the 2024 estimated tax form but some other, I went to the NY state tax dept's site to check for still unfinalized forms but could not find any certainty there.
Help!

Darn, I was hoping that would work. Here is the listing of the NY Forms. I think only the forms that are not released yet are causing the issue with printing and it looks like those four forms should be included with tomorrow nights update. Maybe wait until after the update and see if you can print then. Also make sure you don't have one of the unsupported forms.
I'm currently having the same issue with my 2024 copy of TurboTax - South Carolina forms not available yet for printing. I'm assuming it still has an issue with the estimated taxes. Is there a known work around? I can't efile and need to get this done! THX!!!
Yes, since the IRS has not finalized Estimated Payment vouchers, it may affect South Carolina also.
Were you able to print your Federal returns?
In the View/Print/Save options, a window should open and a PDF file of your returns opens.
You can select which forms to print (choose Specific Forms), so if you choose not to print the Estimated Payments Vouchers, let us know if you were able to print the rest of your SC return.
Yes, I can print Federal...but estimated vouchers weren't generated (didn't owe anything to Fed). Estimated taxes were generated for South Carolina. I get the same message as depicted above in the screenshot.
Does anyone know when forms will be finalized?
Thanks!!
In the Print Center window, you can select what state forms you want to print. Uncheck the Estimated Payment vouchers. Or, choose Save to PDF instead of Print, and then print from the file saved to your computer.
I'm sure South Carolina has a link to pay online, and even if you mailed a check with your SSN and no voucher, they'd know what to do with it.
