When filling out my taxes the program said I am should enter my medical expenses. We are only partial year residents of Oregon so do I enter half of them? Also, do I have to purchase the state version or is it included in my program? It would be nice to have the program tell me when I enter duplicate information that isn't necessary. Thank you, Donald Calhoon

Enter your total medical expenses in federal and they will be carried over to Oregon.
Oregon uses full-year income and deductions to compute tax for part-year residents. Oregon will first calculate the tax as if you lived there the whole year. Then it will multiply the total tax by the Oregon percentage of income. So if 30% of your income came from OR, you will pay 30% of total tax.
TurboTax CD\Download comes with one free state. E-filing state is an additional charge. You can print and mail state for free and e-file up to five federal returns.
Each different state is additional in TurboTax online but there is no e-file charge.
