Using turbotax, how do we apply for the State EV tax Credit,
Example: I'm in Colorado where will the form be within Turbotax?
Additionally: Where will Federal IRS Form 8936 be within Turbotax?
Thank you so much!

On the federal tax return -
For an energy-efficient vehicle tax credit
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home & Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Cars and Other Things You Own
On Energy-Efficient Vehicles, click the start or update button
Or enter energy efficient vehicle in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to energy efficient vehicle
For the Colorado state income tax return the form is DR 0617 Innovative Motor Vehicle Credit. It should be located in the Colorado state program in the section for Other Credits.
Thank so much for the quick reply!
What about for Maryland? I don't see anything in the state credit section
The Maryland Credit for EV's is not part of your tax return. It is a separate program that is done on a first come firs serve basis. Meaning when the funding runs out for that credit, no one else will be able to claim it for that year.
