won't download my state. I'm stuck in a continuous loop. found several other loops too involving interest, dividends. not even downloading all information from last year's form. errors on review for child tax credit which I don't even look at because I have NO dependents. what's with all the glitches? I'm afraid to file

Irrespective of all the other issues, you DO have to go thru the Child Tax Credits questions to clear that.
Because of the millions of Divorced/Separated couples who switch custody/and/or claiming the children each year....the software cannot know you did/did not receive and of the advanced child credits last year...so, this year, everyone has to go thru the CTC section and say they did not get any $$, because not having a child listed this year doesn't indicate whether they received $$ or not.
Too bad turbotax clearly asks at the beginning of the form if you have dependents and states your answer in the info about you. The other part is childcare didn't show up until review for errors which means the software FAILED to transfer numbers into the form based off the answers I gave to the questions it asked. Never had the problem before (25 years of use), so it's reasonable that I should not expect to have the problem now. Plus I still cannot access the state return it says was downloaded.
I did contact support & ended up disconnected with no answer to the problem. In fact I did that call before initially commenting in here. I did not even receive a return call when it was disconnected on support's end. I was on hold.
