Owing in Arizona

My wife and I owe money in Arizona. I remember when finalizing my return that Turbo Tax said to make sure that I have money in my bank account on the date that Taxes were due so that it could be deducted. It is Tax Day (obviously), and the money is still in my account, but my "return" is listed as Accepted. I have already checked the status on Turbo and my State Refund tracker. How can I make sure that we pay what we owed on time, or at the very least that the money was in fact received?

As long as you filed on or before the due date, you are considered as paying on time even if the money has not been deducted from your account yet.  Your e-file transmission sheet proves you filed on time & entered your payment information.   In the meantime, keep an eye on your bank account — if you still don't see the debit 7–10 days after your return has been accepted, call IRS e-file Payment Services at 1-888-353-4537 or contact your state tax agency, as appropriate.
