so the cd version tt update still wont work for crypto ? for 100s of transactions i mean i tried the csv on the online version and it fails to e file state
@jbrennan22 State typically stakes 24-48 hours. Federal is faster yes.
@guy882000 I think this issue has more to do with the state then on TT end. Just do the costs basis etc… that’s on the CSV file manually without all the actually trades and put it though. It will be fine if you are to worried about it then mail it.
@Hisenberg That’s exactly what I would do. You will be fine, worse case you will have to provide the form or mail it.
@Hisenberg NP bro, I know how frustrating it can be. I am glad I could be helpful. Hopefully we will get some good gains this year!
You may want to try this EasyTXF - Easily Convert CSV Files to TurboTax TXF to convert csv file from your crypto broker to txf format. You can then import it into the CD version of TT. May need to edit the csv file to match the headings shown on the converter. It worked for me and I was able to take the Turbotax CSV from coinbase to get a 1099-B equivalent entry in TT. Hope this helps.
@Hisenberg did you put your crypto totals in the crypto section of tt or the stocks/bonds section ? because its asking for a buy and sell date....
@guy882000 in your federal return you need to choose 1099B in your crypto report and then manually type your total proceeds and cost basis. Date and time will be typed automatically as “Various”
The date acuired shows ..various for a choice..but the date sold doesn't. Its asking for a specific date, not sure what to do. man this is stressful ugh..im using the online version of turbotax if that makes a difference. I can add the proceeds and cost basis easily, just the date thing is holding me up. i entered a random date like 12/31/2021 just to put it through for a test and it didn't ask me to upload any forms. I think i might be trying to enter all this in the wrong section....any help would be much appreciated. thanks so much
Hi TT's Tamesha was helpful.
Delete the state return and start doing it again and it fixed the errors and I filed my NJ state Return.
Good Luck
Same issue....
ok, it has beebn 24 hours and still not accepted. hope no issues. how long is it taking everyone's to get accepted? any feedback?
My NJ acceptance was received approximately 22 hours after efiling on Wednesday evening 11pm EST
I had same issue, although I normally mail my NJ return because I get so little back and I usually file so early I don't waste the e-file fee.
Although I had another issue with "duplicate w-2 rejection" and when I called about that issue I asked about the nj e-file one. Turbo Tax told me they were aware of the issue, and to file by mail - basically no help at all.
I have used this product for the past 10-15 years, but this maybe my last.
