NJ E Filing Error Message

I am getting an error message when attempting to file a NJ-1040. It says that "returns with pass through business alternative income tax credits are not eligible for electronic filing"

The return in question has so such credit - is anyone else seeing a similar issue?

Thank you

I filed Federal a few days ago and my NJ was held up due to NJ-DOP not available until today. I downloaded upgrades and was told my NJ could not be filed electronically due to "Returns with pass through business alternative income tax credit not eligible for electronic filing". TT Premier does not explain this at message delivery point and is it valid?

I also waited until the NJ-DOP was released and then ran into the e filing issue this morning.

It is unclear if this is a State of NJ issue or a TT issue. Trying to get in touch with someone at TT to see if there is any additional information they can provide

I got in touch with an agent and they said they were reporting it to programming. Unacceptable.

It appears that if you ignore this message, you can still file NJ electronically.

Be careful of ignoring the message and going ahead and filing.  After I printed a copy for final review, I saw   that TT erroneously indicated the following were part of what I was about to submit:

Federal extension filed.
The address above is a foreign address.
Your address has changed.
Death certificate is enclosed.
I authorize the Division of Taxation to discuss my return and enclosures with my preparer

NJ-1040-O is enclosed.

TO BE CLEAR, these are erroneous.  Among other things, I am not dead.

I will wait for the fix.  Lol. Too much to get around the issue ..

@kevin85193 @Bsharris17  See my above post. You have to go back to the federal and delete your 1099b’s. Then just manually put in the total proceeds  and costs basis . In box 1d of your 1099b. You can upload a copy after turbo tax will ask and do this for you. I am not sure if there will be hot fix for this I found an old post here with people having to do this from last year. This year for the first time ever automatically imported my docs my sales are always over a 100 and that’s what causes the issue for the system on the state end. I did what I did as stated  above this year as I have in past years and there is never an issue with my returns. I hope this helps.

I sent this issue(with screenshot) to Turbotax support via Twitter-- I will let everyone know if I hear anything.

Got the same message after Turbotax software updates today (02/17/2022). I don't own a business, never have.

Couldn't find any NJ form that relates to this. What is triggering this message? What's the deal Turbotax?

Same issue here and I have no business or any business income.

I entered my tax information into Turbo tax on 02/16. I could not print or file due to a message about missing NJ forms, so I decided to wait a couple of days.

I received Turbo Tax updates on 02/17 and now when I do final review I am getting the same error:

Returns with Pass-Through Business Alternative Income Tax Credit are not eligible for electronic filing.

I have checked my entries at "Wages & Income" and "Deductions & Credits" sections in detail and I have not found anything there.

I've got the same issue as well, thought I was going crazy.

Same issue here.  I attempted to e-file anyway since I do not have a business alternative income tax credit on my forms but like others here It would not file
