Missouri State Taxes Not Processing

When I first prepared my federal and state taxes in TT everything was going fine. When it came to transmit my taxes the federal went through but the state did not. There was a message saying that they were working on the form and would be available to file on 1/26/2023. Well I have been trying to get my Missouri state taxes filed since yesterday (1/26/2023) and I am no longer getting the message about working on the form but now I just get a blank screen. Anyone able to assist me here?

Are you still needing assistance with your state tax return? It sounds like your state return may have had a form not available to file at the time you were trying to submit both returns. If you filed your federal and state returns at the same time, your state return may not start processing at the same time as your federal.

It's not unusual for state returns to remain in a pending status for several days after a federal return has been accepted.

Why does it just say ready to mail? I wanted turbo tax to efile.

If the message says 'ready to mail', then your return has been processed as if you were going to mail it. You can change to electronic filing instead as long as you have not actually mailed your return. Using TurboTax Online, you will need to follow the steps in the help article below to make the change to electronic filing.
