I had no crypto and still had this issue
…because this isn’t a crypto issue.
it’s having 100+ trades.
anyways, I filed with the fix mentioned and no problems and got my return within a week.
What fix did you use? Uploading multiple CSV with all 99 or fewer transactions? Someone else said that did not let them efile still. Would love to try your fix.
You can enter the summary’s manually. Yeah, it takes time and Turbo blows. But I got my money.
So you would have to manually enter the summaries of the stocks sold.
what I did exactly… I had 140 sells. But 50 were for one company. I deleted the 50. But then added a summary for that one stock. So all the info was accurate and I only had 91 lines.
so it didn’t have any errors
This was super helpful. Thank you. How do I find where to enter this manually.
Having the same problem have been a customer for a long time as well this is dissapointing we pay $150 for a product that doesn't even work. I called last Friday spoke with some support person and was told the bug would be fixed in 24-48 hours. 72 hours later still no fix hoping this 2/24 patch really does work. First the problem with the stimulus checks last year now this, TurboTax you know when tax season is why don't you have your product tested and ready day 1!! Called back today hung up on twice sent to buy more products from them another time, do they care about their customers?
I don’t have it in front of me. But for instance, go into where you import your 1099b. And click Type it in myself. From there it’ll ask if you have 1-3 or 4+. Click 4+. And then you enter the broker info. And then you can add a line/sale. And on your 1099b you can see the summery for each stock. ie, you bought and sold amc 15 times. Enter total cost $15000. Sales $20000. Wash $12000. Entering the wash sale number is important. And then at the very end. Your numbers should match the numbers you had when you imported with the error. The final numbers are on the 1099b also.
so if the numbers don’t match, you messed up something. And with the summary, you should be good unless you traded over 100 diff stocks.
hope this was kind of helpful.
and maybe they’ll get the patch in by 2/24. Lol
From a Twitter DM:
"I apologize for the delay in response. I have done some research and have found that we do have a confirmed investigation into this issue. This simply means that it has been brought to our attention, it has been confirmed as an issue, and we are working quickly to resolve it. I would like to collect some information from you, if you wish, so that I can 'connect' you to this investigation. This would allow you to receive an email once it has been resolved. If you wish to proceed, I will need the following information."
I'm going to email them the info they're asking for. I'll update here with any progress
@stevedave awesome appreciate it and looking forward to it!
Thanks for this information. I really appreciate it. From the sound of their message, it doesn't seem that the 2/24 patch that has been talked about is going to be the fix for this. I hope I'm wrong, but if it was going to be included in the patch, one would think it would have been mentioned.
Same error on my end in NJ. My 1099-B is 100+ pages, no way I can fix this manually. Hopefully a fix comes soon!
Just heard the same thing, that an update is coming February 24th that will address this issue. Holding my breath...
Yoohoo - The Feb23/24 MA update fixed the problem for me. I am now able to print filing copies and eFile (haven't efiled yet).
Can also confirm this has been fixed in the 02/24 update I mentioned last week
I'm able to file now
I got a question…. Did you get a 0 for line 10 scheduled D?
