Kentucky State Tax Error

When doing the review to e file an error popped up? It said I had an error of a missing EIN or SSN for the dependent care credit and was not eligible to e file. However, I did not claim this credit and it never offered me an option to correct it. I have been through everything multiple times now and can't find it anywhere. What can I do so I can e file this return?

I am having exactly the same issue. Never claim any dependent care and SSN for me is already there. Deleted return and started fresh to same problem.

"returns that do not have an ssn or ein for each dependent care provider are not eligible for electronic"

I seen your chat for updates on the issue, I also seen where it said solved. I assure you it is nit solved as of this moment on Feb 6th. Please fix this and own up to the mistake and make up for the inconvenience you cause your users. Otherwise don't be shocked when next year people go elsewhere to file thier taxes

I just talked to a customer service representative with Turbo Tax. We are not doing anything wrong the error means that there is a form in their system that is needed to file but hasn't yet been added to their system. She said that it should be out there on or after February 10th. We just have to keep trying. I hope that this helps.

That’s an update at least. Turbo Tax isn’t posting or telling us anything. We are having to keep each other updated. So wrong. It’s their responsibility. Thank you for the update.

February 6th and the problem is still there. Is it safe to file Federal and come back and file State after the problem is resolved?

Yes, according to the rep I spoke with this morning. I went ahead and e-filed Fed. After February 10, come back and try the state.

I have the exact same issue.  I would like to e-file (as I have for several years).  So far the only answer I see is print out and mail in.

There’s a Kentucky form that needs to be updated in their system as soon as that is done you’ll be able to e-file is what the rep told me this morning.

Exact same issue here. Have contacted TurboTax several times on the issue. Also signed up for updates by e-mail, which I haven't received anything. I already paid for efile, so I can't do over. They told me TurboTax has contacted Kentucky with problem. I told them, It's not a Kentucky error, it's TurboTax error. It was rejected there, not by Kentucky

EXACTLY. Wish they would just fix the bug already. Tax time is NOT the time for this mess. 🤦🏼‍♀️
