NY State Tax Refund (Missed Deadline)
I had filed my for Federal Tax Refund on 9th April 2017 which was approved on the same day by the IRS and I also received the refund amount in the next few days. However, at that time I had filed for the Federal Tax Return alone and NOT the NY State Tax Refund. I filed for my NY State Tax Refund just yesterday (3rd June 2017) through TurboTax. My question is that is the deadline also applicable for claiming a refund or is it only for those who owe tax to the State (New York)?
In my case I do not owe any tax amount to both IRS and NY State. All I owe is a refund from both, of which I have already received the Federal refund as I had filed for it long back before the deadline.
Will I have to pay any penalty or face any consequences for LATE filing of NY State Tax refund?

NY State Tax Refund (Missed Deadline)
There are no penalties, either on Federal or State tax return, for filing the tax return after the due if filing for a tax refund.
