If you have capital gains or qualified dividends the tax is not taken from the tax table but is calculated separately from schedule D. The tax will be calculated on the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet. It does not get filed with your return. In the online version you need to save your return as a pdf file and include all worksheets to see it.
For the Desktop version you can switch to Forms Mode and open the worksheet to see it. Click Forms in the upper right (upper left for Mac) and look through the list and open the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet.

I got one of those IRS letters. It looks as though Turbo Tax failed to enter my Edward Jones income in 2020 and I now owe $2,294.00. I went through the process to retrieve that income but it failed to show up on my report. I will follow up wIth Edward Jones as well. Please respond.

I got one of those IRS letters. Was it a CP2000 reporting the missing income on the Sch D ?
It looks as though Turbo Tax failed to enter my Edward Jones income in 2020 and I now owe $2,294.00. TT is a DIY program where you are responsible for all the entries on the tax return. If you did not review the return carefully before you filed it and income was missing then this is a user error and not a program failing. Read the notice carefully ... they give you options on how to respond if you do not agree with their determination. Usually you can send them a copy of the 8949 & Sch D that was missing to add to your return or send in an amended return ... read the notice carefully and/or seek professional guidance.
